National Film Awards 2025 Winner List: The 71st National Film Awards 2025 have been announced and this time the King of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan has finally won his first National Award! This moment is a proud moment for every SRK fan.

Shahrukh Khan’s first National Award win

After a brilliant career of 33 years, Shahrukh Khan won the National Award for Best Actor for his film Jawan. Directed by Atlee, this was a 2023 blockbuster film, in which Shahrukh played the role of a vigilante. The film grossed over 1000 crores globally and won the hearts of the audience.

SRK shared the award with Vikrant Massey, who impressed everyone with his powerful acting in 12th Fail. What a treat, two super talented actors being honoured together.

12th Fail: Best Feature Film of the Year

12th Fail, which is based on the real life journey of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, won the Best Feature Film award. This film by director Vidhu Vinod Chopra is an inspiration for every person who works hard for their dreams. Vikrant Massey‘s role was so powerful that he not only won the hearts of the audience but also won the National Award.

Rani Mukerji: Best Actress

Rani Mukerji played the character of a mother in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway with such depth that she won the Best Actress award. The film was based on a real life custody battle, and Rani’s emotional performance made everyone cry. Salute to her versatility.

Technical and Regional Films Shine

This year’s awards not only praised the big stars but also technical and regional cinema. Animal won awards for Best Sound Design and Best Background Score, as well as a Special Mention. Sam Bahadur won three awards for Best Makeup, Best Costume Design and Best Film for National, Social, and Environmental Values.

Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery won the Best Hindi Film award for its unique and satirical storytelling, while Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was selected for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Vaibhavi Merchant received the Best Choreography Award for the choreography of this film (Dhindhora Baje Re).

Another Amazing Feat of Jawan

Jawan not only won the Best Female Playback Singer award for Shah Rukh, but also for singer Shilpa Rao for her song Chaleya. Shilpa expressed her happiness in an interview with News18 and thanked Shahrukh, whose call led to her entry in this song.
