How to Try It Now

Here’s how to do it in very simple steps:

• Open Chrome on your computer.

• In the address bar at the top, type this:chrome://flags and press Enter.

• In the search box at the top of the flags page, type: slide

• You will see an option called “Enable horizontal page transition.”

• Click the dropdown next to it and select Enabled.

• At the bottom, click the Relaunch button to restart Chrome.

That’s it! Now when you click the back or forward buttons, you’ll see the new smooth slide animation.

What if I Don’t Like It?

No problem! If you try it and don’t like it, you can turn it off the same way:

• Go back to chrome://flags.

• Search for “Enable horizontal page transition.”

• Set it to Disabled.

• Click Relaunch again.

• Your Chrome will go back to the normal way of switching pages.
